What Happens Next?

Planning Ahead

Once you’ve booked your photoshoot, we’ll schedule a time for our Planning Session. During this session, we’ll finalize the creative details for your shoot - we can look at visual inspiration for your final images, create a shot list, select your wardrobe, & review any other necessary details.

Photoshoot Timeline

When you arrive for your shoot, we’ll begin by having my Stylist ask you how you normally wear your hair, do your makeup, or perform your grooming routine, & from there you’ll be able to sit & relax as they style you. Afterward, we’ll organize the outfits you’ve brought & then begin photographing the list of shots we’ve planned out. I’ll keep to our shoot schedule so that we don’t miss anything, & we’ll take breaks as needed to change outfits, eat a snack, take a breather, etc. Once we’ve finished creating your list of shots, your session will be complete!

IMAGE PURCHASING Session

About a week after your shoot, we’ll meet up either in person or via Zoom & I’ll help you to choose your final images & select any products you may want to order. Depending on the type of shoot you’ve had, I’ll present between 25-300 of the best images from your shoot. Once you’ve selected & paid for your picks, I’ll deliver your gallery of fully retouched digital images & your prints & products will arrive to you in the mail.

These guides contain the information you’ll need to prepare for your session; including wardrobe advice, hair & skincare tips, & a few planning tools to help you get organized - please take a few minutes to read through all of these resources as the information they contain will really help your photoshoot to go as smoothly as possible.

Session Policies

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Your Booking Fee or Session Deposit is non-refundable in the event that you must cancel your session. I do allow a one-time rescheduling of your shoot, to take place preferably within 90 days of your original session date. Please let me know as soon as you can (at least 14 days before your session if possible) if you do need to reschedule so that I can make your date available to other clients. For more details about rescheduling due to sickness, an emergency, etc., please refer to the contract that you signed upon booking your photoshoot.

Please be On Time

If you are running late, please call or text! Keep in mind that your shoot time will be reduced if you arrive late, &, depending on the hair & makeup artist’s availability, we may need to reschedule your photoshoot if you are more than 30 minutes late. For more details about failure to show, etc., please refer to the contract that you signed upon booking your photoshoot.

Copyright information

Miranda Kelton Photography, LLC retains the copyrights to all media we create during your photoshoot. You’ll be given Print & Digital Usage rights for personal use of all your purchased images. This means that you can print & share copies of your portraits, but do not have the right to sell or publish them for profit without permission unless we have agreed to include a separate licensing agreement in your contract.

Product & Ordering FAQs

Do I need to choose which images, Collections, or products I want before my shoot?

No, your final purchase decisions do not need to be made until after you’ve seen your final images. Depending on your session type, you will have 25 - 300 images presented to you to choose from during your Image Purchasing Session.

Is there a minimum purchase requirement? What can I expect to spend?

There is no minimum purchase requirement - my goal is to create such incredible photos of you that you’ll want to buy them all! You only buy the images you love - some people choose to spend $3000, some spend $10,000+. Whatever you decide to purchase is completely up to you!

Will I get the digital files of my images?

Each image you choose to purchase will also include the corresponding high-resolution digital file in both Print & Web-Optimized sizes - these files will be delivered to you via your final online image gallery.

Does my order include the Image Copyrights?

You’ll be given print & digital use rights for personal use of all your purchased images. This means you are welcome to print & share copies of your portraits, but do not have the right to sell or publish them for profit without permission unless we have agreed otherwise & have outlined a specific licensing arrangement in your contract.

Do you offer Payment Plans?

Yes, we now offer interest-free financing options through Synchrony Bank should you prefer to split up the cost of your session over a series of 12 or 18 months. If you are interested in this option, please let me know & I will send you more information about the application process.

Can I pay my invoices with a Credit Card?

Yes! The Studio accepts Cash, Checks, & all major credit/debit cards.
